Combined Yoga and Pilates method

Next date: Saturday March 8, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Osteoporosis is a disease characterized by excessive fragility of the skeleton, due to a decrease in bone mass and the alteration of bone micro-architecture. It is a common pathology in women after menopause because bone mass decreases with age and with the deficiency of female hormones (estrogens). It affects less often men than women and exceptionally children. It is an important risk factor for bone fractures. Mini-fractures often form in the upper anterior plane of the spine without you even noticing it.

There are postural changes: the affected individuals stand hunched, the shoulders fall forward and the upper back is rounded.

In this Yoga and Pilates training dedicated to the treatment of osteoporosis, you will benefit from a complete program offering you total immersion in this therapeutic practice.

By joining our training, you will have access to highly qualified instructors who have deep expertise in the field of osteoporosis and bone strengthening techniques.

The first part of the training will focus on the basics of Yoga and Pilates, allowing you to develop a solid understanding of the fundamental principles of the application of these disciplines in this pathology. You will learn essential breathing techniques to promote relaxation and reduce stress, as it is well known that chronic stress can contribute to bone breakdown. Through specific exercises, you will also learn to improve balance and coordination, which is crucial in preventing falls and fractures in people with osteoporosis.

As the training progresses, you will be introduced to more advanced Yoga sequences and Pilates exercises specifically tailored for people with osteoporosis. You will discover postures that target the areas most vulnerable to fractures, such as the spine, hips and wrists. The instructors will carefully guide you, showing you how to adapt these postures to avoid excessive strain on fragile bones.

Besides the physical aspects, our training will also emphasize the importance of a balanced diet to maintain optimal bone health. You will receive expert nutritional advice, allowing you to choose foods rich in calcium, vitamin D and other essential nutrients for bone health.
